Job Summary:

The Modern Trade & Institutional Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales growth within the modern trade channels and institutional clients. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and institutional partners to expand the companies market presence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the herbal and wellness industry, with a proven track record in modern trade sales.

Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the company’s sales targets within modern trade and institutional channels.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth for company’s product range, including herbal teas, cold-pressed oils, superfoods, essential oils, and pain relief oils.

2. Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including buyers, category managers, and institutional clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotions with modern trade partners and institutional clients.

3. Market Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities within the herbal and wellness sectors.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the management team to optimize product positioning and sales strategies.

4. Product Placement & Merchandising:

  • Ensure optimal product placement and visibility in modern trade outlets.
  • Work closely with merchandising teams to create effective in-store displays and promotional campaigns.

5. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports on key metrics such as sales volume, revenue, and market share.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Provide feedback on product performance and customer preferences to inform product development and marketing efforts.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in modern trade sales, preferably within the FMCG or herbal products sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Knowledge of the herbal, wellness, or organic products market is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
