An Intensive Training Course for IFRS

WHY IFRS?
117 countries have already migrated to IFRS. By the end of 2011, there will be 150 countries who would have adopted IFRS. ICAN has announced transition to IFRS for SMEs by July 2011. There is going to be huge need for IFRS trained professionals in order to get prepared for IFRS convergence. Therefore, there is substantial opportunity for CAs and commerce graduates with 2 years of relevant experience.
FOCUS
To meet the ongoing compliance requirements and other regulatory legislation, it is increasingly important to adopt IFRS for the preparation and presentation of Financial Statements. Transition from Nepal Accounting Standards to International Financial Reporting Standards requires a high level of understanding and skill. The training shall focus on First time adoption of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs in particular and all IFRS in general.
BY THE END OF THIS COURSE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:
 Plan for the transition from NAS to IFRS.
 Identify gaps and requirements in your organization’s financial reporting system to adhere to IFRS.
 Understand the key requirements of IFRSs for each element of various financial statements.
 Comply with the regulatory requirements for presentation of financial statements.
 Effectively look as an auditor into the complaince made by the entity under the requirement of IFRS.
TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS:
 Four workshops of three hours each shall held on Saturdays, i.e., 17th, 24th, and 31st July and 7th August, 2010.
 The timing of the workshops shall be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
 Every participant shall be provided with latest IFRS 2010 manual, worth £80 for personal use.
 Free updates on IFRS shall be mailed to every participant for complete one year.
 Practical application of the IFRS shall be carried out in the workshops.
 Class size is restricted to 20 participants.
RESOURCE PERSON: The resource person for the training is CA. K.N.Modi. Mr. Modi is a FCA from ICAI qualified in 1988. He is in public practice since then and has carried out hundereds of audit, consultancy and other assignments. Mr. Modi is Course Director for ACCA professional course at BM Jobs since 1998. He is pioneer in starting coachings for ACCA, UK course in Nepal. He is also the pioneer in teaching IFRS to ACCA students in Nepal.
With more than a decade experience in teaching and practical implementation of IFRS has made him a class apart for IFRS in Nepal. He is also examiner for the ICAI courses. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: CFOs, Financial Controllers, Accounts Managers, Internal and External auditors, and audit management who are involved in the preparation and presentation of Financial Statements. LOCATION: Training shall be held at BM Jobs complex at Jwagal, Kupondole, Lalitpur. REGISTRATION FEE: NRs. 13,000/- per participants. The fee is inclusive of IFRS 2010 Book, Handouts, Training and Certificate. A Corporate Discount of 20% is offered for three or more participants from the same organisation.
